Triple P Capital was founded in 2014 by Alexander Krefft and David Steel out of a shared belief in Southeast Asia immense potential. As expert investors in financial services, we are committed to empowering high-growth businesses that serve emerging consumers in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. At Triple P Capital, we passionately promote financial inclusion and climate adaption to make a positive impact on the communities we serve while also delivering superior financial returns.

Triple P’s senior executives have advised Southeast Asian financial services companies for the last 3 decades. We have built powerful networks with industry professionals that allow us to communitace effectively and thoughtfully with managers shareholders and regulators.

  • Alexander Krefft

    Partner & Co-Founder

    Believes that purpose drives profit. Worked with AIG and Chandler Corporation. Columbia LL.M. and Ph.D. at Max-Planck. High school in Singapore.

  • David Steel

    Partner & Co-Founder

    Passionate about developing countries since being in Asia in 1998. Worked with LeapFrog and AIG. U.S. Naval Academy and MA from John Hopkins.

  • Ke Qi Zhang

    Partner

    Eager to harness the growth potential in Southeast Asia. Worked with IFC and Alianz. Fudan University and MBA from Chicago Booth.

  • Daniel Reymond

    Operating Partner

    An operator in Asia for over 20 years. Worked with Zurich as well as insurtechs. Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and MBA from MIT Sloan.

  • Hong Hai Tran

    Investment Director

    Insurance IT expert with deep operational experience in digitization. Worked with Contemi, a Scandinavian insurance IT group. BSc from NUS.

  • Surbhi Khandelwal

    Investment Director

    Financial services professional with deep quantitative skills developed in investment banking and quantitative trading. MSc from IIT Kanpur.

  • Dennis Lee

    Fund Comptroller

    Big 4-trained accountant with extensive financial and compliance experience in investment management industry. A FCCA (UK) and CA (Singapore)

Independent Investment Committee Members

Triple P’s investment committee consists of the partners and two non-executive members with strong industrial expertise. Both independent votes are needed to approve deals, which leads ti more robust investment committee reviews.
